“I don't believe that grief passes away. It has its time and place forever. More time is added to it; it becomes a story within a story. But grief and griever alike endure.”
-Jayber Crow
Jayber Crow is a book revolving around a series of others, dedicated to the fictional town of Port William. The story follows the character by the same name of the book, in the form of a fictional autobiography. It starts with his childhood, all the way up until his current old self. Everyone in this book feels like a different character, and the story itself is a good read. I heavily recommend this book to anyone who is searching themselves deep inside, as this book is a great stepping stone towards finding yourself.

"All the world will be your enemy, Prince of a Thousand Enemies, and when they catch you, they will kill you... But first, they must catch you."
- Watership Down
Watership Down is a book that follows the story of several rabbits that have left a warren (due to an impending danger towards it that could not have been stopped) to find a safe haven for themselves. This leads them through adventures filled with even more danger, and all in hopes to find safety. What they find is a hilltop named "Watership Down", a place that featured all of the advantages a new warren would have needed... But they needed some does in the group for the survival of the warren, and that they lacked.

"To light a candle is to cast a shadow..."
Earthsea is a wonderful little book that follows the story of Ged, an incredibly skillful wizard, as he hunts down a dangerous shadow that he had loosed upon the world, while also learning to become the best of the wizards. This story has accomplished embedding the words with the feel of older fantasy stories, and yet is told in a way that those used in modern prose can understand.

“To love or have loved, that is enough. Ask nothing further. There is no other pearl to be found in the dark folds of life.”
-Les Miserables Les Miserables is a wonderful book written by the French author Victor Hugo. It tells the tales of many people during the French Revolution, but the most prominent of the characters are Jean Valjean, a man transformed by the cruelties of the French prison, and Cosette, an orphan saved from her abusive guardians by Jean.
